Ever wondered why good people face challenges while others seem to get away with bad deeds? This question has puzzled humanity for centuries. People doing bad deeds are often seen living the best of their lives. It looks like all good things are attracted to them and there is no power to judge their actions. On the other hand, people who are genuinely good are seen struggling and going through pain. People who are humble, willing to do good for others lack the resources. Why is it so? Why this law of nature seems unfair? This doubt arises in everyone's mind when they try to become good and suffer.
Let's begin the thoughts that 'should' surround:
1) Stop comparing, getting disheartened and get clear with certain concepts given below.
Considering Current life in Isolation:
The current life is NOT to be considered in isolation as the soul within, has already lived countless lives before this, and has performed Actions/Karma in those lives as well, creating a ledger. All is forgotten when the soul enters new life.
Accumulation of Past Deeds or Destiny
What we get to experience in the current life like health issues, marital life, financial prosperity, etc. is destiny which is well formulated result of the accumulated Karma (virtues and sins) of previous lives. It's not that simple, that if you have done something good today, good shall happen tomorrow, or vice-versa. However, the fruit is bound to be received. But 'when?' is only known to the divine. Also, good deeds Do Not eat-up or set-off the bad ones, the fruit of all bad ones have to be borne too.
2) When a person is involved in bad deeds and still gets the better side, its the result of person's past virtues which are being exhausted fast so as to bring about the downfall soon.
Similarly, when a person joins the right path, the inner strength and the ability to withstand hardships increases, so it's the past sins that are being exhausted fast so as to bring about the happiness and bliss in future.
Conclusion: Do not worry, none of your karma go in vain. Don't be discouraged by temporary setbacks. All the deeds are paid in full whether good or bad. Have strong faith, be patient and keep walking the right path.
